Jing P. Yeophantong, Attorney at Law

DSC_0098Jing Yeophantong is an experienced and highly-skilled immigration lawyer.  She practices immigration law exclusively, and she has been doing it since 2006.  Jing is an immigrant herself, and she understands how personal immigration practice is to her clients.  She understands her clients' frustrations, and she appreciates the strength and commitment her clients possess in their journeys through the complex and, at times, daunting immigration process.  To her, it does not matter how a person navigates through the immigration system.  Any path will always be personal to each of her clients as it directly impacts their future plans and aspirations.  

Jing handles all types of immigration matter.  She frequently handles employment-based immigration cases for both temporary and permanent employments.  Jing has extensive experience handling complex business immigration matters for Fortune 500 corporations and small and mid-size companies.  She routinely advises employers on options to retain foreign workers and other immigration compliance issues. She has experience working with start-up companies, assisting and guiding entrepreneurs on immigration best practices.  Jing also handles family-based immigration cases.  Jing frequently represents clients in marriage-based petitions for spouses of United States citizens and permanent residents.  She also handles petitions for parents and children, as well as fiancé petitions.  She has worked on complex naturalization cases, where her clients have prior criminal convictions.  Jing Yeophantong also have experience working with special immigrant categories, such as beneficiaries under Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and victims of certain crimes (U Visa).  She also handles removal cases, representing clients before the Arlington Immigration Court and the Baltimore Immigration Court.

With over nine years of practicing exclusively immigration law, Jing Yeophantong has worked with clients from all walks of life.  She believes in educating her clients in understanding their options and their immigration consequences. Prior to founding The Law Office of Jing Yeophantong in 2014, she was a partner at Immigration Solutions Group, PLLC, a Washington, DC-based boutique immigration law firm.

Jing Yeophantong graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from Assumption University, Thailand.  She went on to pursue a Master of Laws degree from The University of Groningen, The Netherlands.  She also holds a Master of Laws degree from The George Washington University Law School, Washington, DC.  She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She is also admitted to practice before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.  Jing Yeophantong has co-authored two books titled, "The RedBook™, The HR Executive's Immigration Reference Tool" and "The HR Immigration Pocket Reference™".  She had served as a Chair of the Virginia State Legislative Committee and a liaison for the DMV for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, DC Chapter.
