Jing P. Yeophantong, Attorney at Law
Jing Yeophantong has been practicing immigration law exclusively for over a decade. She is a highly skilled attorney whose extensive experience informs her practice on a daily basis. She provides the utmost professionalism while understanding and sympathizing with her clients. She knows that each of her clients has a unique journey through the United States immigration system and she works with each to tailor a plan that best suits her clients’ circumstances.
Jing handles cases across a broad spectrum of type and complexity. She frequently works on employment based cases to find temporary or permanent employment solutions. In addition to working with individuals Attorney Jing has considerable experience working with companies of all sizes. She routinely advises companies, ranging in size from Fortune 500 members to start-ups, on options to retain foreign workers and other immigration compliance issues. Her experience working with all sizes and types of companies have equipped her with the ability to effectively and creatively construct immigration solutions that are right for her clients.
Jing also handles many types of family-based immigration cases. These include marriage-based petitions for spouses of United States citizens and permanent residents, as well as petitions for parents, children, and fiancés. Jing is dedicated to working for the best immigration outcome for her clients and this extends to complicated naturalization cases, including for clients with prior criminal convictions. Jing Yeophantong has worked on a substantial number of cases involving special immigrant categories. These are cases in which clients are beneficiaries of laws such as the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and victims of certain crimes (U Visa). Additionally, Jing represents clients in removal proceedings before both the Arlington Immigration Court and the Baltimore Immigration Court.
Informed by over a decade of exclusive immigration law experience Jing can distill even the most intricate immigration laws into information that her clients can easily understand. She believes that educating her clients, so that they can understand their immigration options, is the most effective way of creating the best immigration plan.
Jing Yeophantong has a lengthy and notable educational and professional background. Jing first graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from Assumption University, Thailand. She went on to pursue a Master of Laws degree from The University of Groningen, The Netherlands. In addition to these degrees Jing holds a Master of Laws degree from The George Washington University Law School, Washington, DC. She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is admitted to practice before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. Jing Yeophantong has co-authored two books titled, “The RedBook, The HR Executive’s Immigration Reference Tool” and “The HR Immigration Pocket Reference”. She has served as as a liaison to the DMV for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, DC Chapter. Prior to founding The Law Office of Jing Yeophantong in 2014, she was a partner at Immigration Solutions Group, PLLC, a Washington, DC-based boutique immigration law firm.
